Q. If you could change the ending of any book (or series), which book would you choose? Why and to what?
A. I would change the ending of Before I Fall, by Lauren Oliver. For those who have read it, were you really satisfied by the conclusion? I sure wasn't (but not enough to give it less than 5 stars, hehe).
*SPOILER ALERT!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!*
I just didn't like how Sam died. was it necessary for that? I think that if she learnt her lesson, she could get of that damn time loop. That's cheesy, I know, but I don't think it's fair that she sacrifices herself for Juliet. Besides, what has Juliet ever done for her in exchange?
New follower! I have yet to read Before I Fall but I have read Delirium. That book left me hanging too!

***SPOILER IN COMMENT ALERT!***
ReplyDeleteLol, I just don't want to ruin the ending for anyone with my comment...
It was a pretty odd way to end, but I think Sam did it because she wanted to make it up to Juliet for how she had treated her. Sam wasn't getting a second chance to live, but Juliet did have that chance, so Sam gave it to her. At least, that's how I took it. But I know how you feel! It was quite unexpected.
Sorry it took me so long to come by and comment. This weekend was crazy!
ReplyDeleteI didn't read your reasoning because I haven't read Before I Fall yet. I want to and it's on my TBR list. Someday, I'll get to it. ;)
